We are an independent, multi-metal and plastics stockholder, with a team of pro-active, dedicated staff, experts in the supply of non-ferrous metals and plastics.

Due to our ongoing success, we are now looking for a motivated, enthusiastic individual to join our sales team and expand our ever-growing knowledge of each sector within the metal and plastics industries.

Requirements – What we need from you

  • Minimum 3 years sales experience in the Metals Sector
  • Highly motivated individual with a passion for sales
  • Excellent IT and communication skills
  • Administrative skills and excellent attention to detail
  • Proven track record of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities – What you would be doing

  • Pro-actively generating new business and selling our vast range of stock
  • Answering and dealing with enquiries via email and phone in a timely and professional manner
  • Working closely with customers to understand and meet their needs
  • Regular phone calls to existing customers to encourage additional orders
  • Efficient and accurate recording of customer orders
  • Maintaining accurate customer records.

Warehouse Operative

£9.75 an hour

Full-time, Permanent

Job Skills & Qualifications

· Minimum 2 Years warehouse or manufacturing experience

· Good analytical skills with attention to detail given

· IT literate with the ability to understand a computerised stock system

· Counterbalance/ Multi-Directional Forklift License preferred

· Effective at communicating both verbally and written

· Comfortable working in a fast paced and efficient warehouse

Shropshire stainless and Aluminium Ltd (SSA) is a large UK multi-metals stockholder of stainless steel, aluminium, copper, brass, and bronze products. Selling to a large range of customer’s right across a varied supply chain, we deliver to the whole of the UK and Ireland from our Shrewsbury Headquarters with additional Locations in Yate Near Bristol & Lurgan in Northern Ireland

You will be working from our Lurgan site as part of an experienced warehouse team, cutting and preparing materials to customer specific specifications.

Job Responsibilities

· Continuous running of machinery under your control (Plate Saw, Bar Saw, Guillotine, Polycoating)

· Following maintenance plans set out for machinery

· Kitting of jobs as per the Works Order to the floor

· Ensuring work area is always clean and tidy

· Assisting in regular stock cycle counts

· The above is not an exhaustive list of duties and you will be expected to perform different tasks as necessitated by your changing role within the organization and the overall business objectives of the organization.

Week 1 / Week 2 Monday – Friday 6.00am to 2:00pm

Responsible for assisting in implementation and maintenance of all Quality documentation, procedures, testing and control of the manufacturing process.

Job Skills & Qualifications

· Experience of working in an ISO environment

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Analytical abilities with good attention to detail.

· Previous quality assurance experience preferred but not essential

· Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Engineering background preferred but not essential

· Be able to work as part of a team and on your own

· Knowledge of Goods Returns and Non-Conformance Reports preferred but not essential

Job Responsibilities

· Monitor inspection procedures and processes to ensure tests performed are done according to item specifications, protocols, and standard test methods

· Ensure existing ISO 90001 Procedures and records are maintained.

· Looking to improve existing and implementing new procedures to enhance and enable the company to move forward

· Interpret test results and compare them to the specifications and control limits in place while providing recommendations on the appropriateness of data

· Complete documentation necessary for the support of testing procedures, including inventory forms, data capture forms and equipment logbooks

· Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated, and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment

· Assist with in house and training new recruits, teaching them the ins and outs of the job and the specifications, standards, and regulations to be met

· Assess analytical and testing methods and procedures to determine how they can be improved in the future
